May 2008 - Marsin Nature Center Survey Conducted

On April 29th, a Tuesday Bruce Petersen and his Engineering Tech, Todd Larson, accompanied by Evan MacDonald went to the Marsin Nature Center and did a inventory survey using both a "total station" and a back pack antenna, hand held GPS unit. Approximately 400 shots wee taken and described on all of the important features at the Marsin Center. Such things as; house corners, well locations, driveway widths, outbuilding locations, vegetation lines, culvert placments, shoreline locations, various physical
features, etc. were all shot and will now can be used to create an
accurate planning photo.
This knowledge will update KLT's knowledge of the property and greatly
help with any future planning needs for the facility. The accurate
location of all the physical features will also assist the KLT with the
property management and with the creation of any future public outreach
type, educational brochure materials.
